Arm Clean:
Effective, Safe, Reliable
and Stable
ARM Clean is a chlorine-based
high-level disinfectant.
In contrast to all other chlorine-based disinfectants,
Arm Clean maintains both high stability (3O months)
and high activity at a low pH level (no sodium
hydroxide added), due to its electrolytic manufacturing
process.
Arm Clean guarantees the broadest disinfectant activity
with the highest level of safety.
Effective
Arm Clean contains 11,000 ppm of available chlorine.
Use dilution 550ppm.
Active Ingredient:
Sodium hypoclorite (NaOCl)
1.1% [available chlorine as hypoclorite
ion (Ocl-) and hypochlorous acid (HOCl)].
Inert Ingredients:
Sodium Chloride (NaCl)
18.0%
Water (H2O) 80.9%

Arm Clean Applications and Procedures
|
|
Arm Clean kills and destroys all pathogenic
bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas,
Escherichia coli, Streptococcus faecalis, tuberculous
and non-tuberculous mycobacteria, Hepatitis B and C
viruses, HIV and fungi (see the table below).
Arm Clean is sporicidal in 6 hours at full strength
and in 36 hours at its use dilution.
Safe
The safety of Arm Clean has been assessed in
acute oral toxicity studies and with intravenous administration
in animals; the local tolerability has been evaluated
by means of skin irritation and skin sensitization in
humans and maximization test in guinea pigs; furthermore
mutagenicity and cellular toxicity tests have confirmed
the safety of the product.
Arm Clean does not release fumes. Arm Clean is
a "demand-release" disinfectant: it
exerts its oxidizing activity when in contact with organic
material.
Arm Clean is biodegradable: it decomposes
into water, sodium chloride and oxygen.
Reliable
In addition to microbiological and toxicological tests,
Arm Clean has been thoroughly tested for biocompatibility
and physical compatibility with dialyzer membranes.
Arm Clean has demonstrated its reliability in
Dialysis Centers around the world in years of continuous
successful use. Arm Clean should NOT be used
for reprocessing CUPROPHAN or CELLULOSE ACETATE membranes.
Stable
Arm Clean is stable up to 30 months from
the date of manufacture allowing stock optimization
while decreasing the number of orders.
Arm Clean does not require activation, decreasing
handling time.
Test kits and test strips to detect
the desired concentration or the residuals of Arm Clean
are available and easy to use.
